In 2021, I wanted a project to put on my personal statement for my university applications. Whilst watching YouTube, I came across this video by 3Blue1Brown, which looked like the perfect project.
It involved implementing a somewhat complex maths topic, demonstrating I could understand the maths, and it was a programming project, demonstrating I could program – perfect for a university application! I also ended up implementing the project in Rust, a language new to me at the time, which leaves room to talk about Rust and it’s interesting type system in the interview.
